What is TSOP?

The School Of Physics (TSOP) is an educational organisation of natural science and technology which was founded in 2016 by T. Kabengele. The school is primarily devoted to teaching physics to High school and University students. The school currently consists of three departments: The department of General Physics, The department of Theoretical Physics and The department of Mathematical and Computational Physics. Evidently, the school is purely rooted in physics and mathematics. Nevertheless, individuals with interdisplinary interests and qualifications(for example biophysics, geophysics, chemical physics, environmental physics etc) are encouraged to join and support us.

Mission

Our mission is to promote and improve science and technology in developing countries through education. We aim to educate not only the specialists and physics majors, but the general public also.

Science plays a very vital role in the development of any society - while technology is it's fruit thereof. Our intention is not for everyone to be scientists, but for everyone to at least understand the relevance of science and technology to their community. If we neglect science education in our developing countries, our economies will collapse. Our governments will continue to be in debts and continue to rely on foreign labor and equipment in order to carry out any major technological or engineering projects.

We aim to:

  • provide an education to individuals who are passionate about science but cannot afford to go to university or college

  • academically assist in any way we can those studying science in university/college during the course of their studies

  • motivate, encourage and inspire the younger generation (those aspiring to pursue science careers)

  • educate the general public on science and technology

We desire to see developing countries also participate in major world class science research work.

Our Vision

Our vision is to establish a distinguished world class institution of learning and research in Africa.

We hope through this to cultivate the raw talent, inovation and creativity (that is often hidden in many individuals due to lack of resources and oportunity) by providing the oportunity of quality and affordable education to everyone.  We wish for every person to find their rightful role in society and be active and productive in that. We desire that every person be in the right career in accordance with their personal interests and natural abilities.

As an educational organisation, we are mainly interested in science and technology, and are very eager to see development in many aspects of life, with the help of science and technology. Such asepects include: health, poverty, food production, energy, pollution just to name a few. We desire to see not only specialists such as scientists and engineers rise up, but also local entrepreneurs and  business owners to step up with advanced buisness ideas for technology and research. With science and technology, we hope to positively change the world! We can do it together.

You're welcome to join us!
