ELECTRODYNAMICS

Course description

Electrodynamics can be considered an extension to electricity and magnetism. In this course, a deeper more advanced approach is taken to theoretically formalise the physical laws of electromagnetism. The student will obtain the mathematical skills required to solve more advanced problems in electromagnetism.

This course can be divided in three main parts: Electrodynamics in a vacuum, Electrodynamics in matter and lastly relativistic electrodynamics.

In a nutshell, electrodynamics extensively uses James Clark Maxwell's equations to describe the relationship between electricity and magnetism.
