The department of theoretical physics offers the following courses:

Students with a good foundation of physics and mathematics can directly take courses from this department.
Theoretical physicists construct mathematical models to explain physical phenomena. They usually work in teams together with experimental physicists as they formulate these theories and models in accordance to experimental data. Sometimes, they make predictions about physical phenomena purely based on mathematics and intuition, but will require experimental verification later in order for the theory to be approved. For example, Einstein's theory of general relativity, or the prediction of the existance of a subatomic particle that is responsible for the mass of other particles. This particle was discovered in 2012 by experimentalists at the Large hadron collider. They named this particle the Higgs boson after Peter Higgs - one of the theoreticians who predicted it's existence decades ago.
Examples of physicists who were theoreticians include Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, Richard Feynman, Max Planck, Paul Dirac, Neils Bohr, James Clark Maxwell and many more.

Ricard Feynman once said, ''It's much more interesting not knowing. I'm not frightened by not knowing.'' What he was trying to point out is that not knowing stuff makes you curious, and that is interesting because now you get the chance to seek out the answers. So we urge our learners to be curious and excited about the science, it helps. Theoretical physics requires a lot of time, dedication, patience, imagination and sometimes it even becomes easier to just give up and say, "This is just not my thing...", whenever things get a little tough. But you must understand that that is just the nature of the subject. We urge our learners to not back down but to be free to comunicate any challenges they may be facing. We'll be happy to help in anyway we can.

The department of theoretical physics will provide you with the tools necessary for your career in science in the future. Who knows what we'll discover next if we get a lot more serious with science education in our developing countries by not only consentrating on trivial political matters and our endless poverty and miseries that will hardly ever change or be solved with words and promises?
